Alexane Leclerc
2nd-year PhD student in Cognitive Neurosciences at INSERM U955 Translational NeuroPsychiatry Team & PsyBrain Team, UNIACT, Neurospin, CEA-Saclay, France.
My PhD research focuses on emotional perception in the general population and individuals with mood disorders (bipolar disorder and depression) within the preditive processing framework.
I investigate how the brain uses prior emotional associations to predict and interpret affective stimuli — and how this process may be altered in mood disorders. To do so, I combine behavioural paradigms with ultra-high field neuroimaging (7T). I am also interetsed in the potential role of esketamine and psilocybin in restoring adaptative emotional inference in mood disorders.
